Accomplishments/Areas of Interest

Jose graduated from Pacific University with academic distinction. He completed his final clinical rotations at Providence St. Vincent’s Pediatric Neurodevelopment Center for children, C.H. Physical Therapy, and Legacy’s Rehabilitation & Outpatient Services. His training has allowed him to have hands on experience with populations ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics and diagnoses ranging from brachial plexus injuries to decubitus ulcers. He has recently taken additional courses in evaluating upper and lower extremities and proper exercise techniques.

During his free time, Jose enjoys volunteering with Salud Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising medical grants for Oregon’s vineyard workers.

Work Experience:

After receiving his doctorate degree in May of 2009, Jose joined the staff at Gateway Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation. In addition, he works per diem at Legacy’s Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon where he provides rehabilitation services to patients with spinal cord injuries, cerebral vascular accidents (strokes), and traumatic brain injuries.
